This week-long course is designed to provide you with the tools necessary to skyrocket your flute playing. Covering a range of topics from audition tips to vibrato, this workshop will give you everything you need to successfully prepare for your audition this summer.
Monday – Tone and Vibrato
Tuesday – Scales and Arpeggios
Wednesday – Lyrical Exercise
Thursday – Technical Exercise
Friday – Mock Audition and Audition Tips
Dates: June 11-15, 2018
Times: Middle School – 5:30 – 6:15 pm | High School – 6:30 – 7:30 pm
Cost: $30 per DAY or $100 for the FULL WEEK

Spencer graduated Summa Cum Laude from Florida State University with a Bachelors of Music Education and Bachelors of Music in Flute Performance. He has studied with Eva Amsler and played in masterclasses for Karl-Heinz Schütz, Aldo Baerten, Shalev Ed-Al, Magda Schwerzman, and Linda Mark. He was a finalist in the Florida Flute Convention Young Artist Competition in 2014. Spencer has played with the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, University Symphony Orchestra, University Philharmonic Orchestra, and University Wind Ensemble at Florida State University. Spencer participated in a semester long internship with the Avalon Middle School band in Orlando, FL and served as a clinician for many high school summer band camps in the Orlando area. He is currently the Director of Bands at Mulberry Middle School in Polk County.
